BME students awarded at spring 2015 Design Showcase

Two senior capstone design groups within The Department of Biomedical Engineering were named winners at The College of Engineering’s Spring 2015 Design Showcase.

First place winners were the TCP Design Team, comprised of group members Sarah Cosgrove, Adam Gordon and Kaylyn Hannon. Also participating in the group were Zhongyun He, Sa Liu and Junyan Shi of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). The students collaborated remotely this semester to develop an out-of-the-box solution to deploy a colonoscope in patients with C. difficile.

Earning the second place award and capstone video competition award were the Central Pennsylvania SCI Support Group, comprised of team members Jenny Kohler, Brian Leap, JD Maguire, Grace Warkulwiz, Evan Witmer. The team was challenged to design a fork and spoon holder for a person with disability lacking finger strength. Watch the winning video.
